Fixed, only not

So I went up to Evanston today to get a bike frame I had lined up to replace the one that broke last week. A workable steel Fuji frame from the 80s, all I had to do was put on my wheels, handlebars, saddle, and pedals and I would be back in business. Or so I thought. Turns out the frame and my rear wheel didn’t get along too well. The spacing of my rear wheel is such that in order to get the chainline straight, the chainring would have to be lodged about an inch into the chainstay. Crap. And so after building up essentially the entire bike, I stripped it all down again and am now waiting to hear back from the guy to see if I can bring it back up to Evanston. Blah.
