So I’m leaving for Chicago on the 9th. I take the GRE on the 6th and have my last welding class on the 8th, and those are the last two things keeping me here in MO. I’m currently doing my best to try and find an apartment and roommate in the windy city. So far I’ve gotten three offers from potntial roommates, and I think any of them would work out fine. Rent on all these thigns is very reasonable – about $400/month for a furnished room in a 2-bedroom apartment plus a security deposit and utilities. I really appreciate the help Kourtney is giving me and want to get out of her hair as quickly as I can. With a little luck, I’ll be in my own apartment by the end of next week.
Tomorrow I’m going to go try and get a cell phone. I’d like to get one before I leave so I can have some resumes with the appropriate contact info on them ready to go before I leave. I’ll probably just end up getting one there, though.
This is going to rock so fucking hard. I’m getting excited. As in really excited. I’m more motivated and in a better mood now than I’ve been in probably at least six months. This is going to be good for me.
