Groovitude

I am now convinced that the single most American piece of music ever recorded is Jimi Hendrix playing The Star Spangled Banner. I’ve come to this conclusion before, but every time it comes up on shuffle it just hits me and I think, “Shit, dude, this is a musical anomaly the likes of which the music world has seen neither before nor since.” Good shit through and through – if you haven’t heard it hit me up on AIM and I’ll hook you up.

I’m really getting geared up about getting everywhere by bike (pun unintended, but I’ll leave it as it stands). In a few weeks I’ll no longer have to worry about parking the car, getting gas, not getting killed by the assholes on Lake Shore Dr, and so on. My legs will get me where I need to go, and I’ll get fit and ripped to fuck in the process.

…and my cat is going nuts attacking the cords from the venetian blind in my room.

I’ve started adding a little more decoration to my room here. The walls are no longer soley adorned with the two Daido Moriyama posters that Yuka was awesome enough to send me. I recently picked up a used copy of a recent Araki book. Upon arrival, the binding had disintegrated and the pages were just loose. I got a partial refund and have since used my utility knife to carefully extract about ten cool shots that have been tacked up around my room. Amazing what a little wall decor can do to make a room feel more like home.

I think I’m gonna go find some matches so I can light me up some incense and enjoy the scent of it mixed with the warm spring air.

…and the cat just fell off my futon…twice.
